The VMware Actionable Lookup Enabled Transaction service, known as VALET is an innovative product to quickly find specific information related to an application in unstructured data. It then shows users this important information and lets them act on it immediately, without needing to switch out of the system they’re using.
VALET is accessed through a web browser and operates through an innovative implementation of Elastic Search.

Discovery and Ideation
The implementation process commenced with a series of workshops engaging key stakeholders, emphasizing the comprehension of distinct workflows and challenges encountered by various teams within the organization.
Using sketching and user flow techniques, I formulated concepts that target the identified issues and opportunities, visualizing potential solutions for testing and validation with subject matter experts (SMEs) and users.

Style Guide and Interaction Design
I developed a universal visual language (based on Clarity Design System) to be consistently adopted by designers and developers for all onboarded entities in dark and light mode, and the admin console and built interactive prototypes to test solutions, putting accessibility as top priority. Also, to bring all the design efforts to life, a close collaboration with software engineers was crucial.


Admin Console:

Efficient Task Management: By acting as an efficient productivity tool, VALET streamlines numerous processes, freeing employees’ time for more strategic and creative endeavours. Consequently, this results in heightened productivity and the delivery of superior-quality outputs.
Error Prevention for Data Consumption: Automation and standardized workflows within productivity tools can minimize human errors and enhance task accuracy, thus reducing the necessity for rework and elevating overall quality.
